Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti & 3070 Ti : Everything you need to know
The graphics card market is a bit
chaotic right now thanks to the combination of bots, cryptocurrency miners and,
of course, manufacturing issues related to the global pandemic lifebloombeauty.
But that doesn't
mean that Nvidia is going to stop making graphics cards, not at all. In
fact, the company has announced the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti, alongside the Nvidia
RTX 3070 Ti at Computex 2021.
This is everythings you need to know about the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, including their release date, price, and specifications futuretechexpert.
Launch: When will the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti go on sale?
The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti will go on sale worldwide on June 3, 2021 , while the RTX 3070 Ti will arrive a week later, specifically, on June 10, 2021 naturalbeautytrends.
Price: How much will the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti cost?
This is a difficult question to answer
considering the current graphics card market, as limited supplies send prices
skyrocketing.
It's a problem for
both AMD and Nvidia, with the Asus TUF RTX 3080 costing about $ 1,999 recently
on Amazon, far more than the $ 699 Nvidia is proposing. The worst thing is
that this shortage could last much of this 2021.
Officially, the
Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti costs $ 1,199, the same as the RTX 2080 Ti, but it remains
to be seen if stores maintain that price. Third-party variants may also
cost more than Nvidia's MSRP.
The Nvidia RTX 3080
Ti should hit stores like PCComponentes , but they can easily run out
of stock, so you should be quick to get hold of one.
Also from that same store you should be able to buy the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti, although for a somewhat lower price. It will have a suggested retail price of $ 599. Prices may also depend on the store and available stock techsmartinfo.
What does the RTX 3080 Ti offer?
- Released
June 3, 2021
- 12GB GDDR6X memory
- 34 Shader cores, 67 RT cores
and 237 Tensor cores
- 1.5x improvement compared to
RTX 2080 Ti
- Price from $ 1,199
Most interesting is
the amount of VRAM available in the new 1.67 GHz RTX 3080 Ti. While GPU fans
have long thought that the maximum GDDR6X memory would be 20 GB, Nvidia limits
it to 12 GB (equal than RTX 3060).
Obviously, this is
the GDD6X VRAM, faster than the standard GDDR6 RAM in the 3060, but it still
doesn't attract much attention.
Beyond that, this
is a 2GB difference from the RTX 3080, and Nvidia has also improved the number
of CUDA cores: 10,240 compared to 8,704 for the standard 3080. It has also
increased to 67 RT cores and 237 Tensor cores.
To that we must add an improvement of 384 bits with a bandwidth of 912.4 GB / s, with which we have a graphics card that is x1.5 more powerful than the last RTX 2080 Ti, and it is not very far from the RTX 3090, designed for a creative audience smarttechpros.
What does the RTX 3070 Ti offer?
- Released
June 10, 2021
- 8GB GDDR6X memory
- 22 Shader cores, 42 RT cores
and 174 Tensor cores
- 1.5x improvement compared to
RTX 2070 SUPER
- Price from $ 599
It may not be as
powerful as the RTX 3080 Ti, but the 1.77GHz RTX 3070 Ti is still a very
capable graphics card that offers a huge improvement over last year's RTX 2070
Super, and Nvidia says it's all about. a 1.5x jump in performance over the
previous generation.
That's thanks to
8GB GDDR6X memory. It may not be an improvement over the standard RTX
3070, but it is improved with 6,144 CUDA cores, 42 RT cores, and 174 Tensor
cores for improved 1440p performance.
